A licensed psychologist, Barbara Smith holds a Ph.D. in organizational psychology from the University of Washington. In addition to maintaining her nationwide consulting practice, Dr. Smith has served as an auxilliary faculty member at both Seattle University and University of Washington's School of Business. A sought-after speaker, she frequently addresses North American business audiences on subjects ranging from organizational effectiveness to the challenges of leadership in a rapidly changing environment.

Dr. Smith is an active member of the American Psychological Society, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Leadership Tomorrow, and the Rotary Club of Seattle, where she served as a founding board member of the Rotary Homeless Foundation. In addition, she has served on advisory boards of both public and private organizations.
